this was my first attempt at building a rocket stove.
I personally like to call it a hobo stove. lol

once hole is cut be sure to file it down to get rid of sharp barbs from cutting hole.
Dont make the same mistake I did here. The center tube is taller than the outside ring. Big mistake on my part! Every time I put the kettle on to boil I snuffed out the fire!
the inside of this has dirt in it. many many folks recommend ash or vermiculite, I had neither and I am huge on using whats on hand.
I have it in this planter to make it easier to see in side the feed hole and because I was not sure how hot the outside would get the first time I used it. the metal mesh on top was my make shift fix for the center tube being to tall. Later I plan on adding legs to hold the pan I am using up off the center tube.
it only took a few min for this to start to steam and almost come to a boil.
